The mission of the Church has never changed, but the methods have. For two thousand years, Christians have used the tools available in their generation to proclaim the gospel—from the Apostle Paul's public preaching, to the Gutenberg printing press, to radio and television ministries. Today, churches have access to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, podcasts, and other digital platforms that can reach people around the world. The question isn't whether the Church should use technology. The question is whether we are stewarding it well.
The mission of the Church has never changed—but the methods have. For nearly two thousand years, God's people have used the tools of their generation to proclaim the gospel. The Apostle Paul preached in public squares. The printing press placed Scripture into the hands of millions. Radio and television carried biblical teaching into homes around the world. Today, God has given us YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, podcasts, and other digital platforms with unprecedented reach. The question isn't whether the Church should use technology. The question is whether we are faithfully stewarding these tools to fulfill the Great Commission.
